Spice means eccentricity to me. And eccentricity means expression. I have loved getting myself dressed since I was a girl and had a large closet, and lots of drawers. Every day as I dressed myself I needed to express myself in color, and often, when I would come downstairs, my mother would say, “You can’t leave the house like that!” And she’d make some comments and suggestions that I’m sure were really great. I definitely needed some feedback at times. I’ve always loved mixing color and textures and ruffles. And shiny is my favorite color.
